Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data solely on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). Below we explain how your data is processed when you visit this website. This English text is provided for convenience; the German version is authoritative.

For questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address above.

2. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies or similar technologies. We do not use analytics or tracking services, advertising networks or social media plugins. Fonts and images are served from our own web server; no third-party content is loaded when you visit the website.

3. Visiting the website and server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer).

The purpose is to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 14 days unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

4. Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, organisation where given, topic and your message) in order to answer your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing the data is voluntary. Without the mandatory fields, however, we cannot process your enquiry.

Messages sent via the contact form are forwarded by our web server directly by email to our mailbox and are not stored in a database on the web server.

To protect against automated enquiries (spam), the form contains a check field that is invisible to visitors and a time-limited check code that contains no personal data. To limit mass submissions, your IP address is stored temporarily when you submit the form, solely as a pseudonymised cryptographic hash value, and is deleted automatically after 24 hours. No cookies are set for this purpose and no third-party services (such as CAPTCHA providers) are used. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of our website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Your enquiry is deleted once it has been fully dealt with, and at the latest six months after the last contact. If a business relationship results, we retain the data for as long as statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law, require.

5. Recipients and processors

Your data is not sold and is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes. To operate this website and our email, we use the following service providers as processors under Art. 28 GDPR:

Hosting and email: IPAX GmbH, Donaustraße 106, 3400 Klosterneuburg, Austria (server location: Vienna, Austria)

Your data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

6. Data security

This website is transmitted exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, email: dsb@dsb.gv.at, website: www.dsb.gv.at.

8. Changes

We will update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or to the law require it. The version published here applies.
