Transatlantic
For mountain railways, hotels and destinations in Austria that want to win guests from the USA, and for companies from the DACH region with plans in North America. And for US companies that want to establish themselves in Austria and the German-speaking region.
The market
Our family is at home in Carinthia and in the USA, in New York and Los Angeles. We therefore know the American advertising market not from studies but as a home market.
The USA has long been the most important long-haul market for Austrian tourism. According to Austrian National Tourist Office figures, more than one million guests from the USA came to Austria in 2025 for the first time, with almost 2.6 million overnight stays, more than ever before. US guests mostly travel independently and often in the premium and luxury segment; in St. Anton, Lech and Kitzbühel their market shares are above average.
The potential is growing in winter too: a peak-season day ticket in Vail, Colorado, costs 374 US dollars, while the highest price cited for Austria is 86.50 euros. For guests from the East or West Coast who have to fly anyway, a ski holiday in the Alps is comparatively good value. We develop campaigns for mountain railways, hotels and destinations that speak to American guests in their language and meet their expectations, and we support companies in both directions across the Atlantic.

Winter and summer campaigns that make your ski area, hotel or destination known to American guests and drive bookings.
What US guests value about Austria, what they expect and how your offer fits: worked out and translated into clear messages.
Website, materials and ads in American English, written for American readers rather than simply translated.
Materials and presentations for travel advisors, tour operators and partners, through whom many US guests in the premium segment book.
Press work, content and social media for the US market, aligned with media, platforms and booking windows.
For American companies with plans in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol: positioning, a presence in German and an understanding of expectations in the German-speaking region.
A long-haul market is not opened with a single campaign. Awareness and trust grow over several seasons; we therefore plan campaigns in stages and measure what works.
American guests expect clear information, simple booking and reliable service. At the same time they look for the authentic: history, landscape and hospitality that cannot be copied.
In the premium segment, many US guests book through travel advisors. Those who are known there and provide good materials get recommended.
The Federal Trade Commission requires, for example, that partnerships with influencers are clearly disclosed (Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255) and prohibits fake reviews (16 CFR Part 465). Email marketing is subject to the CAN-SPAM Act, and some states such as California have their own privacy laws.
The notes on US advertising rules are guidance for our communication work and do not replace legal advice in an individual case. As of October 2026.
For legal questions, we are happy to put you in touch with Isak Legal. The Zurich-based firm advises companies on cross-border legal and regulatory matters relating to Switzerland, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, and on market entry, investment and export projects in Ukraine.

More about this sectorIf your offer, accessibility and capacity fit, yes. Many ski areas and hotels in the premium segment already welcome guests from overseas. We work out with you which guests suit you and start with targeted tests rather than large budgets.
The tone is more direct, benefits and experiences come first, and the routes to booking are different, for example through travel advisors. Different legal rules also apply, for instance to influencer partnerships and reviews.
Yes. We help American companies to be understood in the German-speaking region: with positioning, a presence and communication in German, aligned with expectations in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol.
